How is this commonality possible?

Separated by space, time, and form, yet these two politicians across the globe have these striking similarities. How is this commonality possible?

Note: My intent is not to offend anyone but help analyze the root-causes which are overarching all external differences. The insights from this analysis would provide valuable tools to deal with the similar problem, but to a lesser degree, in many of our lives. 

  1. Slandering opponents
  2. Eager to witch hunt political "enemies" 
  3. Coercing loyalty from associates or firing them
  4. “Creative Arts” background 
  5. Direct Media Channel to Support base
  6. Superlative language command - prevaricate, catchy phrases, calling names
  7. Dealing with known-to-be-adversarial elements
  8. Winning is the focus 
  9. Tall promises that may mean different things to different people
  10. Selectively emphasize the favorable or trivialize the unfavorable facts
  11. Double Standards (even making own standards)
  12. Discrediting Independent Inquiry as calling it “Witch hunt”
  13. Excellent deal-makers (much hidden)
  14. Protective of personal finances
  15. Multiple divorces/wives/Big Family
  16. Family Involvement in Party/Campaign/Administration
  17. Showing blind-eye to family’s conflicts of interest
  18. Putting Self-interest over Party/Country
  19. Filling favorable people in other branches of Government (Justice/Congress)
  20. Keeping Yes-men in the cabinet and as aides
  21. Don’t hesitate to throw under the bus if falls away from favor 
  22. Keen awareness of loopholes in the system
  23. Active; Travels to meet many people during campaign
  24. Excitement, pomp, public praise lovers
  25. Force people to either love or hate them (no centrists)  
  26. “Make” news almost daily to keep their presence felt
  27. Experts in stretching the limits to their favor
  28. Don’t hesitate to switch sides in decision making
  29. Find thrill in exercising their power-base as much as possible
  30. Image is more important than reality
  31. Pseudo-nationalism
  32. Success made in businesses where valuation is based on perception, chance or luck (e.g., Cinema/TV Media, Real-estates, Investment/Hedge, Gambling/Casino) and they were made based on own individual talent and deal-making ability without any group effort...
